Meenal Jain, a Bollywood playback singer, first came to light as one of the finalists on the TV reality show ‘Indian Idol’ 2005.
At the age of 11, she enrolled at the Suresh Wadkar's training institute in Mumbai where music was taught in the guru-shishya tradition.
She made her Bollywood singing debut in 2005 with the song ‘Palken Jhukao Na’ from ‘Sehar’. Other songs by her include Dua from ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘Banarasiyaa’ from ‘Raanjhanaa’, Cutie Pie from ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ & more.
She is the voice for ‘Barbie’ in the Hindi dub of the 2007 animated film ‘Barbie as the Island Princess’. She also sang the song ‘Sakhi’ on Aamir Khan's show ’Satyamev Jayate’, for an episode on domestic violence.
